This Interfaith Buddhist Meditation Community (inspired by the teachings and practices of Thich Nhat Hanh and other great spiritual teachers) is our main meditation gathering of the week, open to all backgrounds and levels of experience, with walking and sitting meditations, music and teachings.

This week, in addition to our regular meditation practice, we will have a beautiful ceremony facilitated by Terry Cortes-Vega, Mark Vozar and Bobbie Perkins for those wanting to formally receive the Five Mindfulness Trainings. Please join us in supporting those people in this powerful moment (all are welcome to attend). If you have been studying the Five Mindfulness Trainings and would like to receive them in the ceremony, you may download the application form, print it, fill it out, and return it to us no later than Sunday, May 15.

Tai Chi for Busy People (Easy Tai Chi)
NOTE: These groups will not meet on December 28 or 30, 2015.
Special classes: Weather permitting, the Wednesday, August 5 morning Tai Chi classes will be held outdoors, on the west side of Cottonwood Park, 1301 W. Belt Line Rd, Richardson, about a mile and a half from the meditation center (see a map). In case of wet or rainy weather, the classes will be held at the meditation center.
NOTE: Tai Chi class will not meet on November 25.
The meditative, sequenced form of Easy Tai Chi is gentle, graceful, and flowing, using movements from longer Tai Chi forms that affect the entire body. Benefits may include improved balance, coordination and strength, increased relaxation, energy, circulation, flexibility, muscle tone, enhanced immune system and the lower blood pressure. Previous experince is not required.

Drop-in suggested donation: $10-$20 per class
