January Journey: Reviewing and Releasing Loss
All Mondays in January 2021
7:30-9:00pm CST through Zoom
- Recognize the painful realities we experienced in the past year,
- Mindfully identify, acknowledge, and bear witness to our challenges,
- Gently hold ourselves, each other, and the world with compassion,
- Release the past and move forward fully mindful of the present moment and the next.
Utilizing mindfulness skills, we will expand our hearts to gently hold our losses. We will use our breath to calm our bodies and accept the impermanence of life. We will contemplate the role of equanimity in releasing our losses.
This series will provide a framework for us to acknowledge the changes and losses we experienced in 2020. We will be mindful of the deaths, the sickness, the violence, the financial losses, the fires, the hurricanes, the social disharmony and more. We will mindfully bear witness to our own feelings and the impact to ourselves and to the world.
You are also welcome to join us for socially-distanced outside candlelight nature walk on the evening of Friday, January 29, 2021
Register to attend any or all of the sessions in the series. Fee is by donation – Suggested: $15 per session / $40 for the whole series. You will be emailed the Zoom meeting information and location of the candlelight walk (Richardson, Texas area).
