Join us for two and a half days of mindfulness practice over Labor Day weekend. This commuting retreat welcomes both beginners and experienced meditators.
If you are new to meditation, the retreat offers a gentle introduction to the rhythm and structure of sustained practice. It can help you become at peace with your own mind, deepen your understanding of what mindfulness can accomplish, and build momentum for practice in daily life. For experienced practitioners, this retreat offers an opportunity to deepen your practice close to home, in the company of your friendly neighborhood sangha.
The retreat will include periods of sitting and walking meditation, activities to practice mindfulness off the cushion, and dharma talks. We will conduct most of the retreat in noble silence, creating space for us to befriend our own minds. We will also have structured opportunities for discussion and group sharing.
