In a world that is fast-paced and busy, mindfulness shines a light on the path to finding freedom and joy in the present moment, helping you to gain calm, peace, and clarity so that you can successfully navigate life’s challenges.

The workshop includes tools and techniques that are easily accessible to everyone who wants to establish or strengthen their meditation practice. It is designed for those who are looking for a practical, non-sectarian way to learn to meditate and enjoy the many benefits of a meditation practice through straightforward techniques. This workshop is also helpful for those who already meditate and are looking to refresh or energize their practice.

Fee: $60 for one person, bring a friend and save: $100 for two people

Description

Lisa Goerdt has been an active member and volunteer at the Dallas Meditation Center since 2016. She also co-facilitates the Rest & Renew Sound Bath at the Center. Lisa’s spiritual practice centers on meditation, breathwork, sound healing, and Reiki. Lisa looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experience about meditation with new meditators so they can learn ways to be present with their thoughts and feelings and live a more harmonious life.

Cornell Kinderknecht is a meditation teacher and longtime practitioner with over a decade of experience teaching meditation and leading mindfulness groups. His passion lies in practical mindfulness for everyday living, helping individuals integrate meditation and mindfulness into the ups and downs of daily life, fostering greater awareness, balance, and resilience.

Beyond his role as a meditation facilitator, Cornell is a professional musician and software engineer. He is actively involved with the Dallas Meditation Center, serving as a director, facilitator, musician, and technology specialist. Cornell is also a member of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Interbeing, reflecting his deep commitment to mindfulness and compassionate living.

  • Wear socks, we’ll have our shoes off

Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • If Dallas Meditation Center cancels the workshop, a full refund will be given in the original form of payment
  • Cancellations more than two weeks prior to the workshop: A full refund less the $20 per person processing fee will be made.
  • Cancellations 2-14 days prior to the workshop: No refund is available. You may transfer to the next workshop for a $20 per person transfer fee. If you are not able to make the next workshop, your payment becomes a donation which is eligible as a charitable donation for tax purposes.
  • No refunds or transfers are available for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop. Your payment becomes a donation that is eligible as a charitable donation for tax purposes.
