In a world that is fast-paced and busy, mindfulness shines a light on the path to finding freedom and joy in the present moment, helping you to gain calm, peace, and clarity so that you can successfully navigate life’s challenges.

The workshop includes tools and techniques that are easily accessible to everyone who wants to establish or strengthen their meditation practice. It is designed for those who are looking for a practical, non-sectarian way to learn to meditate and enjoy the many benefits of a meditation practice through straightforward techniques. This workshop is also helpful for those who already meditate and are looking to refresh or energize their practice.

Fee: $60 for one person, bring a friend and save: $100 for two people

Facilitated by Paula Weithman and Paul Wassenich

Paula has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of North Texas. Her post-graduate training with the National Institute of Applied Psychophysiology. Biofeedback, as well as Body Mind Centering, has shaped her unique approach to psychotherapy as a Licensed Professional Counselor. With over 35 years of experience as a certified yoga teacher, Paula’s passion lies in weaving together Eastern psychology and traditional therapeutic modalities to enhance the mind-body connection. Her aim is to guide individuals in developing a deeper connection with themselves, fostering vitality and well-being. Paula is an active member of the Dallas Meditation Center. She loves nature, hiking, reading, yoga, and spending nurturing time with friends.

Paul started attending events at the Dallas Meditation Center in 2016 and has been volunteering and facilitating sanghas ever since. He joined the Board of Directors in 2019 and became President of the Board in 2024. He has found that having a consistent group meditation practice has led to subtle but profound benefits in his mind and in his life. He has also trained in reiki, shamanism, qigong, and Authentic Relating. In addition, Paul also enjoys yoga; board games; and sci-fi, fantasy, and zombie fiction.

  • Wear socks, we’ll have our shoes off

Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • If Dallas Meditation Center cancels the workshop, a full refund will be given in the original form of payment
  • Cancellations more than two weeks prior to the workshop: A full refund less the $20 per person processing fee will be made.
  • Cancellations 2-14 days prior to the workshop: No refund is available. You may transfer to the next workshop for a $20 per person transfer fee. If you are not able to make the next workshop, your payment becomes a donation which is eligible as a charitable donation for tax purposes.
  • No refunds or transfers are available for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the workshop. Your payment becomes a donation that is eligible as a charitable donation for tax purposes.
