Kundalini Yoga is a sacred science and ancient practice designed to expand awareness and consciousness, allowing us to tap into our infinite potential.
The practice incorporates elements of Bhakti Yoga, which focuses on devotion and chanting; Raja Yoga, which emphasizes meditation and the control of the mind and body; and Shakti Yoga, which expresses power and energy. This combination includes dynamic, repetitive movements, breathwork, meditation, and the use of mantras.
A typical Kundalini Yoga class begins with an opening chant, known as “tuning in,” followed by a brief warm-up for the spine. After that, participants engage in a kriya, a sequence of postures paired with breathing techniques, followed by savasana, accompanied by a sound bath, and concluding with a meditation or song.
Many common poses are incorporated as kriyas. A kriya combines yoga postures, pranayama (breath control), mudras (hand gestures), and bandhas (body locks) to facilitate the flow of energy through the body.
Diana enhances her class with beautiful Kundalini music, carefully curating a playlist for each kriya and meditation. During savasana, she plays the gong and crystal bowls to help participants deeply relax and fully absorb the benefits of the sound.
This powerful practice strengthens various systems in the body, including the digestive, nervous, and immune systems. It also enhances creativity, intuition, and energy, while balancing the glandular system and clearing all the chakras.
Kundalini Yoga is suitable for individuals of all levels, ages, and abilities, from beginners to advanced practitioners, ensuring that there is something for everyone.
Please bring a yoga mat and water.
